Get ready to be thrown into the real world. I was so excited to leave high school when I was surrounded by orange lockers and cardboard walls. But now that I'm out, I don't know why I had wasted so many days daydreaming about a reality that would one day come. I should've spent it enjoying my friends and the people around me, not wishing for us to be hundreds and hundreds of miles apart. Now that I'm here, I realize how much more I should have appreciated my senior year and the love that Whitney has and the comfort is carried. Don't get me wrong, college is still amazing. The freedom is intoxicating, the new people are exciting, and the love for education is infectious - but it's not where I've spent 6 years of my life already.
Don't be so eager to leave. It'll happen. It's your job to enjoy the time you've been given right now.
