Do you ever reach a point where words don't really look right anymore?
If I type a word or stare at it for too long, it gets really funky to me... It doesn't look like a real word anymore and I keep second guessing my spelling because maybe that's the reason it sticks out like a sore thumb.

Basically our brain is tired of hearing or looking at the word, so we begin to ignore it/pay less attention to it.
